Short Schedule This Week; Hieu Le Goes For 40

October 18th, 2018

The venue is hosting a tournament this week. We have a short schedule with only afternoon and night games. This works out okay because Rob is out this week. We'll return to a full schedule next week. Thanks.

Hieu Le went for 40 points on nine three-pointers to lead Alorica Royals to a 90-59 win over Frosty Hesson. For his efforts, Le was named Player of the Week.

In other games:

--Barrio Benchmen 59, Mambas 55 - Tyler Ross had 24 points and the Barrio Benchmen improved to 3-1 on the season. We're going to have to move them up to a higher level. Architects tend to be an arrogant lot.

--STH 67, Geeks 56 - Saul Mancinas had a monster double-double (30 points and 12 rebounds) to lead STH. Steve Solis had 17 for the Geeks.

--Mitchell Gordon 91, Sunshine Boys 73 - Bruno Lopez had 33 points on nine threes in the victory. Cristian Anaya chipped in with 20 points on six threes. Pat Phanthavong and Dustin Wirth combined for 55 points and 11 threes for Sunshine Boys.

--Dawgs 65, The Show 63 - This was a great game, with the lead going back and forth right down to the wire. Justin Hatter had 29 points for the winners.
