Wet Bandits, Flashback Combine for 31 Threes in Thriller!

February 28th, 2018

PLEASE NOTE: BECAUSE THE VENUE HAS A(NOTHER) TOURNAMENT THIS WEEKEND, WE CAN'T START UNTIL 6:00 P.M. WE'RE REALLY SORRY. WE WILL HAVE GAMES ON THREE COURTS, INCLUDING:

COURT 3

6:00    FROSTY HESSON - INGWE

7:00    BARRIO BENCHMEN - G-SAUCE

8:00    DIZZY'S SQUAD - THE SHOW

In a game for the ages, the Wet Bandits and Flashback combined to hit 31 three-pointers in a crazy 92-91 Bandits victory. For the Bandits, Bruno Lopez hit eight long-range shots, while Cristian Anaya and Sebas Rivera hit five each. Matt Linhart hit three threes for Flashback.

Saul Mancinas had a double-double (23 and 10) to lead STH to a 93-53 win over Second Squad. The game was close for quite a while and then, all of a sudden, it wasn't.

Sama Taku and L.J. Turner combined for 50 points to lead Deadly Venoms to a solid 87-71 win over Fleet. David "Guero" Paredes led Fleet with 19 points.

Kenny Neal's Team pulled off a minor upset, getting past Hey Arnold! by a score of 60-53. The eponymous Kenny Neal went 4-4 from the free-throw line down the stretch to preserve the victory.

Todd Smith hit eight threes and scored 33 points overall in The Good Fight's 61-50 win over The Dawgs.

The standings are up to date and the stats have all been recorded and should be posted in the next day or so. We're still working on a way to record them electronically so that they can be posted instantly. We're just about there.

Again, sorry about the schedule. We had a full day scheduled and then we found out about the tournament. Since we didn't move to the venue until 2016, we have to adjust to others' schedules.
